Simon Lea
B.Arch (Hons) RAIA
Simon Lea graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1998 after obtaining an Architectural Drafting Course Certificate from Sydney Technical College.
Prior to graduation Simon worked with Peddle Thorp and Walker on a range of large scale commercial projects. Following graduation he continued with PTW on the Ryde Leisure Centre before travelling to London spending three years at GMW, HOK International and Studios Architecture.
Since returning to Australia in 2000 to early 2005, Simon has gained from a wealth of experience at Johnson Pilton Walker documenting a wide range of commercial and public infrastructure projects. Of particular note was Simon's involvement in the KENS
project, a $400 million commercial tower and the Sydney Hilton Hotel a $200 million refurbishment of the mixed use podium and hotel tower.
Simon was involved in the Hilton Hotel from preliminary conceptual design stage to the documentation phase where he was the podium team leader right through to the construction stage as site architect.
Since commencing work with Lippmann Partnership in 2005, Simon has proven to be a valuable interface between the design concept and the achievement of a successful project delivery. His intimate knowledge and experience in coordinating technical
sub-consultants on buildings relying on complex services is a significant responsibility.
