“…this was another Court approval, but what a deserving outcome for Bondi, an iconic oceanfront precinct so lacking in well designed mixed use buildings…”
The site of this mixed-use development is at the intersection of Glenayr Avenue and Beach Road in Bondi.
The development defines the commencement of a neighbourhood village precinct, book ending the retail village with a distinctive four level urban element, which corresponds to the height of the Bondi Hotel opposite. A parking basement with three retail tenancies at ground level and three levels of residential above, accommodates nine apartments in total. The units are all naturally ventilated and lit with a double glazed skin wrapping the external envelope. Substantial use of louvering provides privacy and sun control. Landscape buffers provide separation from neighbouring residential sites.
