Project Reservoir

Sydney
2007 -

“...reservoir provides a public realm connected to the heritage atrium while the tower is a beautifully articulated and confident expression of parts, a contribution to the city’s skyline…”

Lippmann Partnership where commissioned by Multiplex- Brookfield to prepare a Stage 1 Development Application for a commercial tower on the corner of Pitt and Bathurst Steets Sydney adjoining the 1939 Heritage Water Board Building.

The site is well positioned to Town Hall station and public transport infrastructure within the mid-town retail precinct, the site has excellent views north east to the Harbour and Botanical Gardens and north west to Darling Harbour.

The concept for the site looks to reinforce the street edge via glazed lourved screen and create a publicly accessible open space 7 levels high which reinforces the entry to the tower and forms an activated outdoor space with integrated environmental control.

The 50,000 sq. metre commercial tower is configured with the service core to the south and the office footprint to the north to take advantage of distant views, and provide landscaped open spaces at the mid/ roof level for tenant recreation and office conference facilities. The proposed tower has integrated ESD components including 6 star AGBR rating which includes a gas fired co-generation plant and blackwater treatment plant which further credentials this tower in the market place.
